It also records which AI crawlers visit the company's own website. ## Background Growth Mention was built inside Growth Hub, a growth agency whose work for years was search. When people started getting answers from AI assistants instead of lists of links, every client began asking the same question: what does AI say about us? Claude appears on this site only as one of the assistants the MCP server can be used from, which is a different thing. ## How it measures - Prompts are asked in each assistant's real, public interface, the one a person uses, not through a developer API, so the answers match what buyers see. - They are asked without anyone's account being signed in, from the country the project is set to. - Every answer is kept, so every figure can be traced back to the answers it came from. - A language model reads each answer for the brands it names, their order, their stance and the sources cited. - Empty answers and refusals are left out.
